Heaven and Hell |
There are enough documents still surviving to prove that a "man" named Jesus did indeed travel and teach of the lessons of life.
He did NOT teach religion or christianity. A very important part of what he did not say, is that He was the only son of God.
When he spoke, he did so in parables and riddles that could, and were easily misunderstood and incorrectly repeated. He purposely spoke this way so that each of us would have to think and explore the meanings of his words because he knew and understood that people are too lazy to do this. However, Only through doing this can we hope to acheive the knowledge required to remain in what we refer to as "Heaven". He knew that it would take almost every single person many tries before they finally got it right. When he said "I am the Son of God", he did not say that he was the only one. He said that we are all children of the Creator with all of the rights and benefits thereof. He said "I am the light. The way to Heaven is through me." He meant that he spoke the truths of reality for anyone who would listen. He said that if you learn to accept the facts of the way things are and combine them to live a life here on this physical Earth that is morally right, you will assure yourself of a place in the Spiritual Hereafter. He spoke often of morality and moral values. Yet the values he taught can in no way be disguised as those in practice by the people who call them Christians.
Jesus was not the Son of God sent here to die for YOU. He was a man just like the man YOU or I could be if either one of us had the tenacity or self-dicipline. He was punished for his refusal to stop teaching what he knew to be right, just as you or I would be today by basically the very same moral majority and those who set in power because of them. Yeah, yeah, I know, they can't literally crucify you...Can they? Well, they can, and will, ostrasize you, take away everything you own and black ball your name into the furthest reaches of society until you lay in the gutter and literally starve to death. Is that close enough?
Jesus was just a teacher. But he was a good one. He was far ahead of his time in the use of his mind. He performed "miracles" in that he use techniques never before seen by the people of his time to make their own minds heal themselves (probably hypnosis).(I would assume he did something during his 40 days alone in the mountains...There's nothing written about this particular time period...Why? Next time you see David Copperfield, ask him to tell you how he does it...)Remember too, at this time people were ignorant and naive. A cigarette lighter, a radio, a flashlight? ... Miracles.
He taught to those who cared to look further than just his words, that our whole reason for being here in this physical body on this physical plane, is to acquire the knowledge and to pass the lessons of life that can only be learned here, such as pain (physical and mental) joy and anger (and the consequences of each), etc.
He taught to care for the sick and elderly, the poor and homeless, the creatures of the earth and then for yourself. He did not teach us to refuse them treatment because they do not belong to an HMO. He did not say to send your parents off to live in an "Old Folks" home where they can be ignored and possibly abused. He did not say to turn your backs on those who need help and "kick 'em while they're down", steal what little they have since they cannot defend themsleves, or cross the street to avoid them altogether.
He said to teach our children. He did not say to get them out of your hair and shuffle them off to public schools so they may be brainwashed into responding gratefully to governmental control by teachers who have themselves been brainwashed by the same system.
He taught to remain humble before the greater things of nature. He did not say to destroy anything that gets in your way. Kill all of the beasts in a species no matter where they exist should they interrupt your snow mobiling. Cut every tree to make paper for your magazines and newspapers, (and official government reports) that will not be read. Destroy the planet to make it more comfortable ...???...
Each of these is just one of the many lessons required to become a "whole" or Pure Spirit. Once the spirit has finally reach a state of knowledge and morality required to stay in the spirit world, it then is no longer required to come back to this Earth or to a physical body. This is Heaven.
How is it that there is so much controversy over the existence of this place? Why do each of us, no matter our belief or non-belief in the God personality or diety, refuse to completely throw away the idea or possiblity of an afterlife and "Heaven"? It because we've all been there. Probably many times. Although physical or concious memory is wiped clean at each new "rebirth", we still carry a nagging suspicion that cannot be erased altogether. We're not still there, because we're not yet ready.
When you've learned to come to grips with reality, and learned to live by "real" morality, you may be allowed to stay in Heaven...
Until then...
